About Me

Education

I received my degree from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2015. I studied Economics and Computer Science, and I also received a certificate for completing the Elements of Computing program.

About

I am 24 year old bilingual who likes to program, and I love to build cool things. I am also a retro video gamer, but when I am not playing games or programming, I am enjoying the outdoors.

Passions

I enjoy all kinds of application development. I have front end experience; one of my newest passions includes working with the AngularJS framework. Nonetheless, I would like to develop backend services and applications as well. I also have a passion for data analytics, big data, and programming with single-board computers.

Hire Me

I am a driven and motivated developer ready to work and continue learning. I enjoy working with diverse teams because it fosters a learning enviroment, and learning from others helps develop awesome ideas.

My Latest Projects

Front End: Developed hybrid cross-platform mobile application
Developed a proof of concept task manager application intended for Walmart store managers. AngularJS was used to create a maintainable application, and Cue-Me, a container for the html/css/javascript code, was used to develop the application for mobile use. The application was used in conjuction with a IBM software product, Business Process Manager (BPM), as example/template for future use.

Back End: Music Streaming Sim
For my database class, I worked with a relational database (Oracle server) to create a simulation of a music streaming service. My python application used the cx_Oracle driver to communicate with the database. The database maintained user records, songs played, current song playing, and transactions relating to music plan changes.

Team Project: Project Smart Cart
This team intern project consisted of developing a system to alleviate the wobbly wheel shopping cart problem. We designed a system to ensure the customer never has to deal with broken shopping carts. Our product was a hybrid cross-platform mobile web application that associates would use to track carts and tag for repair. AngularJS along with Ionic was used for the development.

Data Science: Data Wrangling Project
This was a pair programming project where my partner and I used two very large public data sets to create useful vizualizations using the R language with RStudio and Tableau. The large data sets were imported into an Oracle server using SQL Developer, and restful api calls were used to retrive the data for statistical analysis.
